We are a group of experienced, professional counsellors and psychotherapists, registered by UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). We work with a variety of theoretical approaches, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential, Transpersonal, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. Most of us would consider our practice Integrative, informed by a range of models.

Our Services

All our services are available face to face and/or online. All our face to face services at Gay Men’s Therapy are provided from our offices at 16 Upper Woburn Place, London WC1H 0AF.

Assessment
After your initial contact, we will invite you for an assessment provided by a senior practitioner who will help you to find the right therapist for you. The initial assessment appointment is charged at £50 for individuals and £90 for couples and usually lasts 50 minutes. In the assessment, you can decide whether you would like to access the psychotherapy and counselling service or the reduced fee service.

Psychotherapy and counselling service
The fee for a 50 minute individual session is between £70 and £120, depending on your income. The fee for a couples session is between £80 and £130, depending on your joint income.

Reduced fee service
We offer a low-cost service provided by psychotherapists in advanced training who are working towards accreditation. The therapists are all carefully selected and their work is supervised by one of the directors. The fee for this service is between £40, and £60, depending on your income.

Online
All of our services are also offered online, although the availability for reduced fee online sessions may at times be limited.
